Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel is located on the famed Ringstrasse Boulevard in the city center of Vienna. Designed by eminent architects Theophil Hansen and Heinrich Förster, the listed hotel complex was built between 1869 and 1873. In 2013, the building was painstakingly and beautifully restored. Thankfully, the original design is still visible in the striking façade, the lobby’s monumental columns, the ballroom’s foyer, the 19th century window frames and the delicately wrought cast-iron banisters on the staircases. Plus, you can still see the Greek goddess of Nike on the roof, who watches over the building and provides a reminder of Vienna’s great victories.
